Personalized One-On-One Mentorship for Youth in Grades 7-12
Could Polaris Be Right for Your Teen?
Polaris may be a good fit for a young person who:
Has strengths but struggles to recognize or use them
Feels overwhelmed by expectations, decisions or the future
Would benefit from practical financial skills, including budgeting, credit and responsible money management
Needs support with organization, follow-through or problem-solving
Would benefit from greater confidence or independence
Has difficulty communicating, setting boundaries or advocating for themselves
Has goals but isn’t sure how to move toward them
Wants to explore career, education or post-secondary options
Could benefit from another trusted adult in their corner
Polaris isn’t about fixing young people. It’s about helping them understand themselves and develop strategies that work for who they are.
Each student is paired with a consistent Polaris Guide who provides practical tools, structure and encouragement while helping the student choose their own direction.
Using the research-informed Polaris Compass, each student follows a personalized path to navigate six areas:
Identity: Strengths, values, interests and needs
Purpose: What matters to them and the goals they want to pursue
Skills: Learning, organization, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making
Well-Being: Resilience, healthy habits and managing stress and setbacks
Community: Communication, boundaries, healthy relationships and belonging
Future: Careers, education, financial competence and independence
Students choose what they work on and what progress looks like. We give them the compass. They choose their direction.
